B.O.I.-Basal Osseointegration Implants
  Introduction

Basal implants are the type of implants which are placed in the basale bone. This particular system engages bicortically the basal bone making it stable from day one. The masticatory forces are well transferred and well-tolerated by the bone.

The edentulous situations where fixed rehabilitation was not possible with conventional implants is now possible with the advent of basal implants. The situations where there is need for bone grafting and endless waiting for the bone to mature can be very well dealt with this particular system.

Basal or lateral implants are placed through a vestibular access allowing a good vision and perfect placement.

  Why BOI?

Relatively lesser number of complications – BOI implantation systems are highly resistant to both pre as well as intra operative complications and infections.

Immediate implantation – BOI treatments allow immediate implantation after teeth extractions even in those cases which involve periodontal treatments

Almost negligible external material – In BOI treatments, bone perfusion and integrity are hardly impaired. By and large, it is the own bone substance of the patient that is put to use.

Immediate Loading – As a result of quick prosthodontic splinting and bicortial support, immediate loading is possible.
