Types of Bone Grafting Treatments |

There are four type of bone grafting used by us to restore your dental health. |
|
- Autografts: - In this method we try to gather the grafting material from the patient’ body. This process is definitely one of the most compatible one as the bone material is collected from the patient’s body. This autograft grafting method provides a great amount of regeneration to the patient’s jawbones.
- Allografts:-In this method, the grafting material is gathered from outside the patient’s body. It this method we make sure that the donor undergoes proper sterilization and testing at various levels to assure safe oral health, thus preventing any kind of infection.
- Xenografts: - In this approach the bone grafting material is gathered from non humans. The grafting material in this case is used as filler only as with time the patient’s bone material would replace it. Sterilization is performed in this approach as we do not like to take chances with our patient’s health at any point of time.
- Alloplastic: - In this synthetic materials are used as the bone grafting materials, in order to acquire a dental implant treatment. Most times the material used is derived from calcium phosphate. If the body of the patient is not able to replace this synthetic material, still it does not cause any harm and acts as a structure on which the development of natural bone is possible.
